Upcoming Unmanned Aerial System Treatment

A drone is perched on a dirt surface overlooking a waterway, surrounded by vegetation and distant hills. The setting is serene.

On April 23rd, 2026, Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District will be conducting an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) treatment in the city of Lake Elsinore. This new standard treatment method allows District staff to better manage mosquito populations in inaccessible areas.

This treatment will happen in a portion of the wildlife preserve, south of the lake, to manage mosquito populations. Please see the map below.

This area will be treated with Natular G30,  a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-approved (EPA Reg. #839-83), public health pesticide that is also OMRI-certified for organic crops. This is a "dry pesticide" that drastically reduces the potential of pesticide drift.

The treatment will be performed by FAA-certified pilots who meet all safety requirements.
