Upcoming Unmanned Aerial System Treatment

On May 27th, 2025, Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District will be conducting multiple Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) treatments in the cities of Eastvale and Lake Elsinore. This new standard treatment method allows District staff to better manage mosquito populations in inaccessible areas.

In the City of Eastvale, the UAS treatments will be taking place in wetland ponds between the Santa Ana River and the Eastvale Community Bike Trail.

In the City of Lake Elsinore, a portion of the wildlife preserve, south of the lake, will be treated to manage mosquito populations. Please see the map below.

Both of these areas will be treated with Natular G30,  a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-approved (EPA Reg. #839-83), public health pesticide that is also OMRI-certified for organic crops. This is a "dry pesticide" that drastically reduces the potential of pesticide drift.

These treatments will be performed by FAA-certified pilots, meeting all safety requirements.
